High School Boys​​Summer Convention

Convention Rules

In an effort to foster a spiritual enviroment, the following rules have been founded:

 

​General

1. All convention rules must be followed.

2. For your safety, everyone is required to remain on retreat center property for the entire convention. Everyone is required to remain on the convention grounds for the entire period. No exceptions will be allowed without prior permission from Fr. Philopateer Younan.

 

Housing

1. Please respect the rooming assignments and only sleep in your designated room.

2. ALL occupants will be held financially responsible for any damages to the room occupied.

3. Please respect the peace and privacy of other occupants in the retreat center.

4. Everyone is required to be in his or her assigned room by 12:30 a.m. or as indicated in the schedule.

5. Swimming in the pool is not allowed.

6. No TV usage allowed during the course of the convention.

 

Attire

1. Activity attire: Knee length shorts, short or long sleeve shirt. NO sleeveless shirts or halter-tops.

2. Convention attire: long pants (mandatory for church), short or long sleeved shirts, NO caps.

 

Attendance

1. The retreat center conference facility will be the meeting place for all lectures, liturgies, prayers, etc.

2. Attendance at all liturgies, lectures and events is expected and will be monitored.

3. Activity participation depends upon your regular meeting attendance.

4. Cellular phones must be turned off during all lectures and scheduled activities.

5. Chewing gum is not allowed during scheduled activities.

 

Behavior

1. Christian behavior is expected from each attendee.

2. Inappropriate language is unacceptable.

3. No smoking or consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed.

4. No CD players, computer games, iPods allowed.

 

Meals

1. Only appropriate fasting foods will be served on Wednesday and Friday.

2. All buffet meals will be catered by the facility.

3. Snacks and drinks will be provided during the course of the convention.

 

Adhering to the above rules will guarantee an enjoyable time spent filled with spiritual benefits. PLEASE NOTE: Any disorderly conduct that limits the other participants' right to enjoy the convention will be dealt with immediately.
